Nancy Sinatra Net Worth $50 Million
Nancy was born the eldest child of Nancy Barbato and Frank Sinatra. Her siblings Tina and Frank Jr. are also actors. Due to growing up in showbiz royalty’s family, she started showing an interest in music and creative arts at an early age – she took lessons in piano for 11 years, dancing lessons for eight and dramatic performances for five years. After matriculating from University High School in West Hollywood, she dropped-out from the University of California, Los Angeles, to pursue her future career.
Nancy Sinatra debuted in the television special hosted by her father in 1960, The Frank Sinatra Timex Show, alongside guest star Elvis Presley. She was determined to break into the music industry, so in 1961 she signed for Reprise, her father’s own label. Nancy’s first single Cuff Links and a Tie Clip went completely unnoticed, and she almost got herself dropped from the label. Her first film appearances came in 1964, when she acted in the movies “For Those Who Think Young” and “Get Yourself a College Girl”. After begging the collaboration with Lee Hazlewood, everything changed for the better, and her career started rising rapidly. The 1966’s single These Boots Are Made For Walkin’ was a huge success and provided the basis for Nancy’s net worth.
Numerous hits have followed, including How Does That Grab You, Sugar Town and the 1967 Bond movie theme song “You Only Live Twice”. Nancy’s duet with her father, Somethin’ Stupid peaked at #1 in various charts throughout the country and Europe. In 1968, Nancy Sinatra played opposite Elvis Presley again, this time in the musical comedy “Speedway”. All these accomplishment significantly increased Nancy’s overall net worth.
Nancy has continued to record and perform to the present day, and so far in her portfolio there are 15 studio albums, six movie roles and numerous TV series and show appearances. Nancy Sinatra has also published two books – “Frank Sinatra: My Father” (1985), and “Frank Sinatra: An American Legend” (1998). All these ventures has certainly helped Nancy to accumulate such a respectable fortune.
Nancy Sinatra was rewarded with a Golden Palm Star on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars in 2002, and also a Star for Recording on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2006. Apart from that, she has charted on Billboard’s Hot 100 21 times, as well as 10 times on the Adult Contemporary Chart.
When it comes to her personal life, Nancy Sinatra was married to British singer and actor Tommy Sands in 1960, but they divorced after five years of marriage. In 1970, she married dancer Hugh Lambert with whom she has two children. This marriage ended in 1985 when Nancy’s spouse passed away.
In 1995, Nancy Sinatra refreshed her fame by posing in a Playboy pictorial, at her age of 54.
Apart from singing and acting, she is also active in charitable causes – during the Vietnam War, Nancy supported the troops and she is still regular in that. In 2006, she was honored with the Heart of a Patriot Award by the USO of Chicago, and a year later, the Vietnam Veterans of America rewarded her with President’s Award for Excellence in the Arts.
Nancy Sinatra currently resides in Los Angeles, California, and is very active on social networks on which she has more than a 100,000 followers. She also ordinarily updates the family site www.sinatrafamily.com – the place where fans can find out almost everything about the Sinatra family.

# | Quote |
---|---|
1 | The one hit song that I have tremendous gratitude for is Boots, because it has a life of its own. It's like being identified with a brand name. |
2 | Dad really had little to do with the songs, except to perform them. |
3 | I am the daughter of the Chairman of the Board and thus, was raised with great music. |
4 | Frank's audience doesn't care if a girl singer, a comic or an organ grinder with a monkey opens the show. They are there to see HIM. |
5 | I think I've finally proven something to people who were cynical about me. Because they were cruel. |
6 | I didn't just want to be Frank's daughter who sang Boots. I take my music very seriously and studied very hard. It's not a joke to me. |
7 | What happens in the music business is that if you step out of your little spot to do something else, the sand falls right into where you stood and you're gone, you're history. |
8 | I wasn't allowed to grow as an artist. My albums were nicer to look at than to listen to. |
9 | After things started to happen here, my choice of material was extremely limited. It was a weird situation. |
10 | I was a star in Italy, Australia, Germany and Japan before the American stations ever paid attention at all. |
11 | Morrissey wrote to me and said, I have a song for you and if we release it as a single, you'll be on the charts for the first time since 1972, I said, what time, where? |
12 | Then all of a sudden, Quentin Tarantino comes along and puts a song from 40 years ago in one of his films and they've suddenly discovered you. That was a real gift that Quentin gave me. |
13 | I wanted to travel with my dad to be close to him again. Having babies and raising my own family took so much of my time, I didn't have a chance to be with him very often. |
14 | I was successful with mediocre material because of a good recording voice that people really liked at that time. |
15 | After 50, the rock 'n' roll road is a little absurd. It's very difficult to play these little places. You're out there on a rickety old bus with no place to shower. |
16 | I was at a party three weeks prior to the murders at Roman Polanski and Sharon Tate's house. |
17 | Morrissey wrote a really gorgeous song for me. I'm crazy for that man. And he thinks I'm hip! |
18 | His last 2 shows in the U.S. were in Chicago and St. Louis. I don't know what made me go on the trip with him, but I'm so very glad I did. They were two of the finest concerts I've ever seen. |
19 | It would be nice to be on the charts again, nice to be recognized. |
20 | I have never been accepted. I'll never make the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They're never going to let me in. |
21 | I was singing about six notes higher than I had to, in a range that kept me up in a bubblegum sound. |
22 | I think most people are aware of the garbage in the tabloids and don't give them a lot of credence. |
23 | There are a lot of people who would laugh at the idea of me being a good singer. |
24 | (About show business) It's a hectic, crazy life. You're not like a shoe salesman, who can get rid of his wares. You're stuck with a product - yourself. |

11 | Former stepdaughter of Ava Gardner, Mia Farrow and Barbara Marx. |
12 | Her first hit record, "These Boots Are Made for Walkin'", became popular partly due to the prominent bass guitar riff played throughout the song. That riff was played by Chuck Berghofer, with Carol Kaye on rhythm guitar. Both are of the legendary Wrecking Crew. |
13 | Released a single in 1976 called "Kinky Love", on Private Stock. The song's suggestive lyrics made the song unplayable to radio waves, and was only heard every so often in underground of the late 1970s. It first gained resurrection when in the early 1990s, The Pail Saints covered the song for an album, but really rose attention when Nancy herself included on a 1998 compilation of rare and unreleased tracks called "Sheet Music". Today, the song is widely recognized as a cult hit of Sinatra's (being the talk of different places on the Internet), and original copies of the single [Private Stock 075] is a sought-after collectors item; rarely ever seen at all. Some copies sell for over $1,000 dollars. |
