Alisia “Lisa” Salters is a journalist and an ex- collegiate women’s basketball player, born on 6th March 1966 in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA. She is best known as a reporter for ESPN and ESPN on ABC, having reported worldwide, including a series of reports from the Middle East, and hosting ESPN’s coverage of the 2006 Winter Olympics and 2002 FIFA World Cup. She currently works as a sideline reporter for ESPN’s Monday Night Football, and ABC’s coverage of the NBA.

During her studies, she played guard for the Lady Lions basketball team from 1986-87, the shortest player in school history. She graduated in 1988 with a BA in broadcast journalism, and soon joined WBAL-TV in Baltimore, where she worked as a reporter until 1995. She then started working as a correspondent for ABC News based in Los Angeles, and held that position for six years. During this time she provided news coverage for varied ABC broadcasts, including World News Tonight.

In March 2000, Lisa joined ESPN as a general assignment reporter, and since then has covered numerous important events, with her reports regularly appearing on the award-winning “Outside the Line” series. Some of her most notable coverage has included the 2002 FIFA World Cup in South Korea and Japan, 2004 Olympic Games in Greece, 2006 Winter Olympics in Italy, 2006 and 2007 NBA Finals and sports-related stories in and around US Central Command in Qatar through the commencement of the Iraq War, all adding to her net worth.

For her story “Ray Of Hope”, she was nominated for a Sports Emmy Award in 2008. She has been a correspondent on the E:60 series since it launched in 2007, and earned a Gracie Award for best feature in 2009 from the Association for Women in Radio and Television. In addition to the numerous events she has reported on, Salters did a story in Haiti on the U17 national women’s soccer team not long after the devastating earthquake of 2010.

When it comes to her more recent activity, since 2012 Lisa has been serving as lead sideline reporter for ESPN’s coverage of NBA, and as sideline reporter for Monday Night Football. On MNF, she joins announcer Sean McDonough and analyst Jon Gruden but also provides live stadium reports in afternoon studio shows.

When it comes to her private life, Salters resides in Baltimore, Maryland and has adopted a son; she remains unmarried, saying that although she has dated many men, she hasn’t found the right one yet! Lisa is a member of Upper Merion Area High School’s Hall of Fame. She is a cousin of famous American Football running back Tony Dorsett.
