Attorney General of the United States since March 2021, Merrick Brian Garland was born in America on November 13, 1952. Prior to this, he worked as a U.S. Circuit judge for the District of Columbia Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals from 1997 until 2021.
Garland is a native of the Chicago region, and he received both his undergraduate and law education at Harvard.
